About NorthDuty

NorthDuty is built by the Team to help teams know whether their websites actually work, not only whether a server responds.

The team and thinking behind monitoring that catches what uptime tools miss.

Why NorthDuty exists

The Team started NorthDuty after working with uptime monitoring and seeing the same gap repeatedly: an uptime tool can report that a website is online while customers are still blocked by a blank page, a broken button, a failed form, a JavaScript error, missing API content, or a checkout step that no longer works.

Uptime checks are still important. They are the first layer of website reliability. But modern websites depend on JavaScript, APIs, CMS changes, experiments, analytics tags, third-party scripts, DNS, SSL, and deployment pipelines. A green uptime check does not prove that the rendered page, conversion path, or customer journey is healthy.

That gap is getting larger in the AI era. Code is generated faster, features ship faster, and small changes can reach production before a team has manually checked every important page. NorthDuty is built for that reality: monitor the website in multiple layers, collect evidence, and alert teams when the customer experience changes or breaks.

The monitoring layers NorthDuty cares about

NorthDuty combines signals that catch different classes of website failure, so teams are not relying on one narrow check.

Uptime and reachability

Confirm the website responds, DNS resolves, SSL is valid, and core availability signals stay healthy.

Rendered page health

Look beyond status codes by checking page load, front-end errors, failed requests, and visible page problems.

Visual change detection

Compare screenshots and pixel differences so unexpected layout shifts, missing sections, or broken UI changes are easier to catch.

User journey monitoring

Monitor important paths such as signup, login, checkout, onboarding, contact forms, and high-value landing page flows.

AI-era release coverage

Give faster-moving teams a safety net when generated code, rapid edits, or frequent deployments change the customer experience.

Clear evidence for teams

Turn website problems into understandable alerts with screenshots, health signals, and journey context instead of vague downtime reports.

Who NorthDuty is for

Use NorthDuty where website problems create real business impact and one uptime check is not enough.
